Halloween - Best Holiday of the Year!

You may have noticed that Halloween is tomorrow.  I could not be more excited!!!!!  There are a ton of fun Halloween events going on around Austin, but not all Halloween events are created equal.  Tonight on All Hallows Eve Eve, I recommend going to see Ghostbusters at Whole Foods as part of the Sunset Supper & Cinema Series.  “There is no Dana only Zuul!”  You could also go down to the Alamo Drafthouse South for the Halloween Eve Extravaganza featuring a screening of Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers.  Yes!
On actual Halloween, you should check out Murder, Mayhem, and Misadventure at the Oakwood Cemetery.  Tours will be given every 30 minutes from 10 am-4 pm.  At 11 am, you can also go to a free screening of The Watcher in the Woods at the Alamo Drafthouse South.  This movie is part of the Saturday morning kids series, although I think it’s terrifying and I wouldn’t take a kid under 10 to see it.  Remember?  Bette Davis, early 80’s, ghost story involving a haunted mansion, another dimension, and a solar eclipse?  Scary!  On Halloween night, you can either stay home for the trick or treaters, or go to a variety of “balls” including Zombie Ball, the Ghoulwhill Ball, or Zombie Prom.

goonies1As part of Bike In Cinema, The Goonies will be shown Thursday night at the Triangle for only $2.  As a bonus, New Belgium beer is only $3.  All proceeds benefit the League of Bicycling Voters.  It’s good enough for me, it’s good enough for you, it’s good enough…

By the way, you should ride your bike to the movie.
